Below is the list of new HD Rentals that have been added to Apple TV.

A very quiet day for HD additions with only 4 new titles to choose from, and I use the word new lightly because our old friend American Pie 2 is back for another run, at least until late night Cinemax wants it back.

American Pie 2
The Devil’s Curse
Garden Party
Misery

$.99 Movie “Rentals” Of The Week?

Yes you read that correctly, it looks as though Apple is changing up how they offer their $.99 movies of the week and are now offering movie rentals, plural, of the week. Currently there is only one title listed on the page, As Good As It Gets, but it seems as though there is space for more titles. It’s hard for me to believe Apple would dedicate an entire section for just one title. Head on over to this new page in the iTunes Store and see for yourself.

Update - This page is now listing O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Lethal Weapon also as $.99 movies rentals of the week. I guess you can consider this the iTunes Store $.99 bin.

This Weeks Great Movies Under $10

It looks like Apple is upping the ante a bit as far as the under $10 titles are concerned by adding a group of fairly recent movies. Now the quality on the other hand, I’ll let you be the judge. Below is the list of titles:

Be Kind Rewind
Over Her Dead Body
Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show
10,000 BC
Fool’s Gold

The ATVJ Podcast Has A Vacancy

As viewers of the latest podcast will know, I am now flying solo. And as much as I don’t mind doing the podcast by myself, I’m always in search of adding a different voice and opinion to the podcast. So, let the word go forth that the Apple TV Junkie podcast is in search of a new co-host. This isn’t rocket science. First and foremost it’s about fun, but if you’re a geek about digital media, you follow the industry on a daily basis, you own a media box or two, you feel like you have an opinion, and you want to express your opinion in front of a camera, then this could be the opportunity for you.

Sorry folks, but you must live in the general San Diego area. We are no Diggnation where we can fly you into San Diego on a weekly basis. But if you feel like you are within traveling distance and you can make it down once a week, then let’s give it a shot. So, man or woman, tall or short, young or old, we’re considering everyone. If your interested please shoot us an email at feedback at appletvjunkie.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

HD Podcast Episode 8 - Open That Window

The podcast returns after a few weeks off with one less host but still going strong. This week we keep things simple and only cover one news subject, the dreaded missing movies, so you get my rant on that along with the usual Movie and TV news. Click here to head over to our iTunes Page.

We apologize for the usually crappiness of the audio but it was a windy day.

So much for YouTube, we are back to Vimeo. Yes we know the video formatting is a little wanky.
