NBC Wins over Apple?

Macworld recently posted an analysis of NBC’s return to the iTunes store. One side of the story is that NBC was able to strong arm Apple to accepting a better deal for the network. This is suggested by the prices set for the new HD TV shows that were coincident with NBC’s return - $2.99 per HD show. Apple insists that it has had variable pricing in the past and this is nothing new.

My take is that reality is likely somewhere in between - Apple went back to NBC offering a spot on the new HD TV show launch. I’m sure the new pricing scheme didn’t hurt. The big question remains - is the pricing attractive enough? As Apple TV Junkie has reported the picture is certainly better than SD but not stunning.
