Greg,
The movies on the SD Rentals Removal list are titles that are no longer available to rent. They have not been completely removed from iTunes. You just can’t rent them anymore. But they are available for purchase if you want to own them.
Dean,
We believe that it does come down to a contractual issue. I’m guessing it’s like a lease from the studios. Once the lease is done, the movies are removed.
Given apple’s firm stance on fee structure, this just seems like a silly technicality that only results in lost revenue and unsatisfied customers. Next you’ll tell me that I can’t even rent HD shows directly from aTV. Oh wait….

These movies have not been removed?
