Sorry for the lack of a new movie Tuesday post this week, but I’ve been working on a new way to streamline the process of posting and updating new movies.
Introducing Cinemira (alpha).
I don’t think a week goes by that I do receive a request to release the entire list of Apple iTunes Movies available, or an easy way to search those titles. For those who remember we tried this once before with a product called Cinemira. Talk about over complicating a simple problem. So now we’re back with a new, simple, search. Introducing Cinemira (alpha), the easiest way to find the latest iTunes movies. Why alpha? Because this is truly a one trick pony search, for now.
How does it work?
A search couldn’t be much easier. There’s one search field and a list of movies. You can either visually search by date added, or you can search by title, by HD availability, or really any other keywords you can think of. As you type the list is refined based on the letter or words you type. A sort of live search.
Why are so many movies missing?
Right now the list is limited to new movies added since February 1st, but in time the entire iTunes movie catalog will be listed. This is a proof of concept and I want to work out the kinks as I go along.
What does the future hold for Cinemira?
This is only the beginning. As I said the entire iTunes movie catalog will be added, and the site itself will go through a few cosmetic changes. Over all I need you, the user, to tell me what you would like to see. What additional functionality would you want in an easy search tool. After all, this tool is for you. So have fun, break it if you can, but most of all give me feedback so I can improve Cinemira and make it the best it can be. Give it a try now!
