PS3 VS. Apple TV VS. Blu-ray….. Fight!
Here we have it, a comparison of two HD download services, with Blu-ray being the standard to shoot for. As you know by now Sony updated the Playstation Store with video rentals. Not the first console maker to do so as Microsoft has the Live video store up and running, for some time now. [...]
PS3 now offering HD rentals
UPDATE #1 - Around 11:30pm EST the store was live. I played around with it a bit, the user interface is good not the best UI, but it works. From what I saw there are approximately 52 titles in HD to rent. There are a handful of TV shows nothing in HD that I saw. [...]

Little news on Apple TV, should we worry?
With little news, or even rumors in the pipe I have had very little to post about. So should we as ATV owners worry about the future of our beloved means of video streaming? Roku seems to be the main competition right now, but currently is limited to what Netflix can stream. Xbox360 has downloadable [...]
Download before DVD? Maybe
The New York Times is reporting that Sony will allow owners of a Internet-enabled Bravia (The Bravia Internet link) to download Hancock before the DVD hits. Should Apple try to move into this space? Sony to offer PS3 movie downloads
Engadget is reporting that Sony will start offering movie downloads this summer in North America. Now 2 of the 3 major gaming consoles in America offer downloads. Competition is a good thing in the rental download game, lets hope Apple steps up and starts offering more movies, and more Apple TV support to stay ahead.

Apple TV app?
I was thinking over the weekend, with the coming app store, why not an Apple TV app? Think about it; from your iPhone or iPod touch queue up a movie you want to rent or buy and have it waiting for you when you get home. The question is; Are there any other uses for [...]
YouTube now offering paid Downloads and DVD sales
Valleywag is reporting that YouTube will now offer aspiring film makers a chance to sell on there site. The Screening Room will let film makers upload and sell right off of YouTube. I think this is a fantastic idea its hard to get your movie sold and this is a way you can take it [...]
Bandwidth Metering and why it hurts Apple TV
There was a time about fifteen years ago when you paid for X number of hours on the internet, and people did it because it was the only game in town. My senior year in high school AOL started to offer 19.99 unlimited access (This is when I got an Internet connection at my house) [...]
No Apple TV at the WWDC
CrunchGear has an excellent article on the absents of the Apple TV at this year WWDC. I agree with the author that we should not count the Apple TV out just yet. However lets also face one fact; for now the only way to rent HD is to do it from the ATv. It makes [...]
