Apple TV 2.2 Feature List
I found the “official” list of Apple TV 2.2 features on this Apple support page. To summarize:
- HD TV shows
- Movie browsing by actor and director
- Chapter selection, alternate audio and subtitles (press and hold play/pause)
- Movie descriptions - press “Up” or “+” during playback
- Genius playlists
- On-The-Go playlists (press and hold play/pause)
- Music videos in playlists
- Standby mode
- Security fixes
That’s probably more than we expected although comments on my last post seem to indicate we’re not all having fun with the update yet.

Update went smooth. Haven’t had any problems yet and I’m already enjoying some of the new features. If the update had problems I imagine they’re taken care of by now.
