A Sign Of Things To Come?

If you look carefully at the image above you will notice two things. One, There Will Be Blood is indeed available through Apple TV, but two, even though the title is “Purchase Only” it is still falling under “Viewers Also Rented”. Now either Apple didn’t think those whole purchase thing all the way through, the ability to find “Purchase Only” movies will not remain, or these titles will become Rentable soon. What do you think?

I think this ties in with Thursday’s press release. Movies will be released FOR PURCHASE on iTunes the same day as DVDs come out for purchase….

…30 days later, the rental option will appear. (as per Apple/Studios agreement)

I guess it does make predicting new rentals a little easier at least, since you’ll see them coming.

Should say, “Viewers With a Time Machine Also Rented”.
