This was something I first used successfully when I re-rented Batman Begins after it recently made its return to the Apple TV, the new Chapter selection feature which came with the 2.2 update. I tried using this feature on a few movies I own, including Slacker Uprising which is a newer title, but the option never came up.
The way you get to this feature is you tap up twice, or tap the + sign twice, on the remote while the movie is playing. This brings up an overlay with the description of the movie, and apparently on some titles, the option to Press and hold pause/play for options which leads you to the Chapter Selection screen. I assume that as newer movie titles add features such as director commentary, this will be the area where you will find it.
For a while now we’ve been struggling with a way to bring our Apple TV community together in a way that we can share our Apple TV movie experiences with one another. Our problem is with our current forum set-up, we just aren’t able to disable the cumbersome registration process. Not fun. (more…)
Another 5 New SD Releases were added today. It’s kinda funny that for the past three days, they’ve been adding 5 movies at a time.
Anyway, on to our new releases for today. The one movie that got high marks at rottentomotoes.com was Gods and Monsters. 95% on the Tomatometer! So it has to be good, right?! If you’ve seen this already, tell us what you think over at our Movie Review section on our Forum.
Apple Movie Junkie, formerly Apple TV Junkie, is the official blog of Cinemira. We provide a helpful service for users of the iTunes Movie Store and the Apple TV. AMJ was born out of a surprising shortcoming on the Apple TV after noticing that there was no easy way to find a list of all new HD & SD rental titles released on a daily basis. AMJ fills that niche with a daily list of new movies.
